Date: 2022-06-08 12:04 pm (UTC)Dear Spaghetti, so far I really love the "Lovers in a Dangerous Time" mix and I haven't heard the other one. A great variety of styles and content and a terrific take on the theme. I'm going to enjoy "If this is all there is" later.
Note to Quinn: I thought really hard about the prompt "Queer Jewish shitposts" and had the difficulty that I know plenty of queer Jewish music but it's usually way too sincere... or even saccharine... to fit into the "shitpost" category. But! Have you heard the good word of The Klezmatics? They were out klezmorim (well, the band had both queer and straight members) in 1986. Yes, I just said "out klezmorim in 1986." They even had an album entitled "Shvaygn = Toyt" (Silence = Death). Anyway, play around in their back catalog. I like "Man in a Hat" as far as queer Jewish shitposts go.
Note to Becca, and anyone else who didn't ask for new songs for their Princess Tutu fanmixes twenty years after the show: Black Violin - Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. You're welcome. (no, I've never stopped adding to my Princess Tutu fanmixes)
Catchaspark, thank you so much for organizing! Delightful as always!
